50th Annual Wausau Possum Festival

Ya'll Come Join Us On Saturday August 2nd, 2019!

The Wausau Possum Festival is held on the first Saturday in August each year. This year marks 50 years that this heritage festival has been celebrating all things possum.

Beginning with a pancake breakfast at 6AM-9AM, locals and visitors alike enjoy a full day of festivities, including the annual Possum Parade, Possum Auction and a host of family-friendly events.

The festival activities include cross-cut saw contests, sack races and greasy pole contests, are indicative of a regional trend toward more family-friendly, heritage amusement. Gospel, Bluegrass & Country Music until 5pm

Future Renegades Challenge (junior firefighter obstacle course - three age categories: 5-under, 6-9 & 10-up)
